Power Plant Selection
Our power plants range from natural gas to liquid biofuels, from baseload to peak load, from 1 MW to 1000 MW installed capacity and above, our power plants are tailored to meet the needs of our customers. Soar Group is able to provide you with tailor-made power plant solutions. Please contact us to help you determine what power plants or power generation products best fit your needs, or compare products.

1 Selection
There are various types of power plants, Investors or owners should determine them according to their uses, load, geographical locations, fuel supplies, fuel costs, construction period, and the situation. Generally, diesel generator sets are used for emergency and standby power stations of less than 5 MW. either I. C. E generator sets or gas turbines generator sets for small ones of 10-250MW. Gas turbines generator sets for large ones of more than 500MW installed capacity.
1.1 Gas Turbine Power Plant
Gas Turbine Power Plants refer to the energy station which operate using gas or fuel oil as fuel, with gas turbine as prime mover to drive the alternator, and convert mechanical energy into electrical energy and thermal energy. Mostly used for cogeneration or combined cycle power generation projects.

1.2 Engine Power Plant
The Internal Combustion Engine Power Plant (Engine Power Plant) refer to the energy station which operate using liquid or gas as fuel, with Engine as prime mover to drive the alternator, and convert mechanical energy into electrical energy and thermal energy. Most of them are small and medium power plant under 250MW, with small investment, short construction term, high reliability and easy maintenance.
1.2.1 Gas Engine Power Plant
The Gas power plant refers to the energy station which operate using natural gas or other gases as fuel, with I.C.E as prime mover to drive the alternator, and convert mechanical energy into electrical energy and thermal energy. Most of them are small and medium power plant less than 250MW, with its economy, environmentally friendly, low fuel costs, flexible operation.

1.2.2 Fuel Oil Engine Power Plant
Fuel Oil Power Plant refers to the energy station that driven by an internal combustion engine, with fuel oil as fuel, which convert mechanical energy into electrical energy and thermal energy. Generally them are small and medium power plant less than 250MW installed capacity, with small investment, short construction term, high reliability and easy maintenance. Its fuel includes Diesel, Heavy fuel oil, Crude oil, and Liquid biofuel, etc.

1.2.3 Dual Fuel Engine Power Plant
Dual fuel Power Plant refers to the energy station that run on both natural gas and liquid fuels, with I.C.E as prime mover to drive the alternator, and convert mechanical energy into electrical energy and thermal energy. Dual Fuel Engine allows conventional diesel engines to operate on a mixture of natural gas and diesel or HFO. The power station also is operated in liquid fuel mode if the supply of gas fuel is interrupted. The possibility to switch over seamlessly from gas to diesel operation and vice versa provides full flexibility in multiple applications. The optimised combustion chamber ensures very low fuel consumption in both operational modes. Both have excellent and reliable performance of fuel power generation, but also has the economic and environmental benefits of gas power generation. suitable for location on gas shortage or gas supply instability.

1.3 Floating Power Plant (Power Barge )
A Power Barge refers to the energy station located in a special ship, which can supply electricity, heat and fresh water for natural disasters, offshore operations hard to be covered by the power grid, and remote areas. It is applicable to coastal areas and river basins. A floating power plant can be entirely self-contained and can installed relatively quickly at any locations accessible by water such as harbors, coastal regions or sites near rivers for supplying critically needed electricity independently of local resources or infrastructure.

1.4 Containerised Power Plant (CPP)
Containerised Power Plant (CPP) is composed of one or more Containerized generator sets, with a body container, an auxiliary container and a storage tank, including the internal combustion engine power plant and the gas turbine power plant. suitable for use in the field of mines, oil, outside and so on. Containerized Power Plant Benefits: less civil, short construction period, saving investment, low operating costs and flexibility.

Gas Turbine Power Plant

2 Advantage of Gas and HFO Power Plant
Gas or HFO power plant has a lot advantages, compared with coal power plant. For example, the investment of Gas and HFO power plant is relatively low, and it's very flexible, the power can be a few MW and also hundreds MW, and also the construction period is short, can be finished in a few months.
● Low costs
Low investment costs, low maintenance costs, low operating costs and short construction period.
● High availability
Almost all of the components can be exchanged. Our engines and plants are equipped for 8000 operating hours per year and more.
● High flexibility
We can provide the individual design according to customer requirements and determine the scope supply. The product can be delivered fast and reliably in a short time. If demand for energy changes, the power plant can be easily extended or removed by further modules .
